Further to our communiqué of 31 March 2020 (https://www.axis.mu/newsroom/update-extension-of-curfew-to-prevent-the-spread-of-covid-19/) where we informed you that Mauritius was extending its total lockdown period until Wednesday 15 April 2020, the Honourable Prime Minister announced yesterday that the lockdown was further extended up to Monday 04 May 2020.  The decision was taken after reviewing the prevailing conditions in the country and although the number of confirmed cases in Mauritius was below WHO projections, the country would need to maintain a further period of vigilance.

Our Business Continuity Plan which has been a great success so far, remains operational and our employees will continue to work from home in order to service our client needs.
