Wakanda 4.0 hosted the second edition of the Cryptoverse Summit on May 17, 2023. This conference brought together over 47 speakers from 17 countries, predominantly esteemed professionals specializing in Blockchain technology, DeFi, Fintech, Metaverse, and Virtual Assets Service Providers.
A speech was delivered by the Director of Financial services, Mr. Vinay Guddye focused on Mauritius’ progress in the field of fintech and its remarkable achievement of swiftly exiting the FATF grey list.
He also elaborated on the transformation of the regulatory environment, specifically highlighting the implementation of the recently enacted “Virtual Assets and Initial Token Offerings Services Act 2021.” This comprehensive legislation is designed to regulate virtual assets, service providers, and entities involved in initial token offerings.
