The Managing Director of Axis Fiduciary Ltd, Mr. Assad Abdullatiff was delighted to be part of a distinguished panel at the “Mauritius-China Free Trade Agreement” workshop, hosted by the Economic Development Board on the 1st and 2nd of March 2021. With an extensively deep pool of knowledge from years of experience in the legal and financial sector, Assad shared his expertise on Mauritius attaining the status of a regional RMB clearing hub and its upshot on Mauritius’ position as an International Financial Sector for Africa.

The Mauritius-China free trade agreement brings about a new dawn for the financial sector of Mauritius, further cementing the country’s position as the leading International Financial Center for Africa and becoming the new relay in trade between China and the African continent.
